Cinnamon Raisin Cookie Bars (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - 1½ cups plain flour.
02 - 1 teaspoon baking soda.
03 - ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon.
04 - ½ teaspoon salt.
05 - ¾ cup softened unsalted butter.
06 - ¾ cup packed brown sugar.
07 - 2 large eggs.
08 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
09 - 2 cups quick cooking oats.
10 - 1 cup plump raisins.
11 - ½ cup butter for the topping.
12 - 1½ cups confectioners sugar.
13 - 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup.
14 - 1-2 tablespoons fresh cream.
15 - ½ teaspoon cinnamon for the topping.
16 - ¼ teaspoon maple extract.

# Steps To Make It:

01 - Warm up your oven to 350°F. Put parchment in a 9x9 baking dish.
02 - Mix the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt together in a bowl.
03 - Cream the butter with sugar till light and airy. Drop in eggs and vanilla.
04 - Stir in your dry mix, then gently mix in the oats and raisins.
05 - Put the mix in your pan and bake for 18-20 mins until the sides turn golden brown.
06 - Whip the butter, slowly adding sugar. Stir in maple syrup, cream and cinnamon.
07 - Spread topping on the cooled treats and slice into squares.
