These no bake Grinch cookies are always a crowd favorite at our Christmas get-togethers. Mixing bright green dipped Oreos, rich white chocolate, and tiny red hearts brings some Dr Seuss fun to our kitchen. They look super fancy but honestly take almost no time. Great if the holidays are hectic and you want something quick.

Cheerful Holiday Magic

I save so much hassle during crazy December days thanks to these. No stove or oven to worry about. Just dip them, decorate, and they're ready. Kids can't help but smile at the bold green color and those little hearts. They're always the first thing gone when we set out cookies.

What You'll Need

  • Green food coloring for that bold classic color
  • Coconut oil to get your chocolate extra glossy
  • Golden Double Stuf Oreos because they're so rich and tasty
  • White chocolate or almond bark for dipping your cookies
  • Red heart sprinkles take them over the top

Time to Make Cookies

Let Them Set
Let your cookies hang out on the counter, or toss them in the fridge to speed things up
Add the Hearts
Drizzle a little leftover chocolate and press on those adorable red sprinkles
Dip and Coat
Swirl cookies in melted chocolate, then pop them on parchment paper
Make it Green
Squeeze in green color until you're happy with the shade
Start with Chocolate
First, melt your white chocolate and add some coconut oil to make it super smooth

Cookie Fun

Pour your melted chocolate in a zip bag, snip the end, and pipe on white lines with ease. Hurry and press on those red hearts before it hardens! My kids especially love this step, giggling as they turn plain Oreos into little Grinches.

Movie Night Favorite

Every year, we whip these cookies up before our Grinch movie marathon. The kids enjoy helping out while we watch, and it's always more about the laughter and decorating than the actual movie. They're simple, cute, and remind us of good times.

Common Questions

→ How quickly should I add hearts?

The hearts should go on when the chocolate's still melty—pop them on after sprinkling 3-4 cookies so they’ll stay put.

→ Why use coconut oil?

It makes the melted chocolate easier to work with and helps keep it smooth, not lumpy.

→ Why make in small batches?

Working with less means your chocolate stays melted and you don’t have to rush as much.

→ How long do these keep?

Stash them in a sealed container at room temp and they’ll be fine for about two weeks.

→ Can I use different cookies?

Sure! You can try other cookies, but Golden Oreos just look the most Grinchy with that green color.

What You’ll Need

01 items Heart-shaped sprinkles.
02 items Green food dye.
03 items One big pack of Golden Double Stuf Oreos (about 40).
04 items Half a teaspoon coconut oil.
05 items 24 ounces white chocolate or almond bark.

Steps To Make It

Step 01

Wait until everything's totally set and they’re cool.

Step 02

Pour leftover coating across 3 or 4 cookies at once. Pop one heart sprinkle on each before it hardens.

Step 03

Shake off extra coating and set the cookies on a tray lined with parchment.

Step 04

Drop Oreos into the green mixture and scoop them out with a fork.

Step 05

Drip in 3 or 4 drops of green color at a time until it looks good to you.

Step 06

Heat up almond bark and coconut oil in the microwave. Do it in half-minute bursts till everything’s melted.

Extra Notes

  1. Make small batches so the coating doesn’t firm up too fast.
  2. Toss the hearts on fast so they don’t slide off.
