Stromboli Italian (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - 1/2 pound sliced pepperoni.
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil.
03 - 1 cup marinara sauce, if you want.
04 - 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan.
05 - 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella.
06 - 1/2 pound sliced salami.
07 - 4 cups all-purpose flour.
08 - 1/2 cup fresh basil or parsley, chopped.
09 - 2 teaspoons salt.
10 - 1 large egg, beaten.
11 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan.
12 - 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant dry yeast.
13 - 1 1/2 cups warm water.
14 - 1 teaspoon sugar.
15 - 1/2 pound sliced ham or prosciutto.
16 - Italian seasoning to sprinkle on top.

# Steps To Make It:

01 - Give it a few minutes to cool off, then cut it up and dig in.
02 - Slide it in the oven for 20-25 minutes until it turns a nice golden shade.
03 - Throw on a shower of Parmesan and a good pinch of Italian herbs.
04 - Paint the whole rolled dough with some beaten egg.
05 - Start at the long side and roll everything up tight, laying it seam down when you're done.
06 - Toss the meats, cheeses, and those fresh herbs all over the dough.
07 - If you're using marinara, swipe a light coating over the dough.
08 - Use your rolling pin to stretch the dough out into a rectangle, about 10 by 14 inches.
09 - Crank the oven up to 400°F so it heats up while you get everything else ready.
10 - Stir together flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Pour in warm water and oil, knead it for five minutes or so, and let the dough puff up for about an hour.

# Extra Notes:

01 - Go for store-bought pizza dough if you don't feel like making it yourself.
02 - Prep this ahead and toss it in the fridge for up to a day before baking.
