Simmer dates with water on medium-low heat, smashing them until they turn into a smooth paste.

Combine almonds, flour, salt and spices together. Pour in oil and milk until you get a workable dough. Pop in fridge for 20-30 minutes if it feels too sticky.

Divide and flatten dough into two 28x18cm sheets. Smear your date mixture across each surface.

Using parchment paper, roll everything into logs. Stick in freezer for 30 minutes then cut into half-inch thick rounds.

Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. Stick in a 350°F oven for 20 minutes till they look golden brown.

Let them sit till fully cooled before eating. Keep them in the fridge afterward.
