Strawberry Cheese Puffs (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - 1 sheet thawed puff pastry (8.6 oz).
02 - 3 ounces softened strawberry cream cheese.
03 - 2 tablespoons sweet strawberry jam.
04 - 1 drop rosy pink food coloring.
05 - 2/3 cup fresh chopped strawberries.
06 - 1 large room temperature egg.
07 - 1 tablespoon cold water.
08 - Coarse sparkling sugar.
09 - Sifted powdered sugar for topping.

# Steps To Make It:

01 - Get pastry to room temp if it's frozen. Heat oven to 400°F. Make sure your cream cheese and egg aren't cold.
02 - Stir cream cheese with jam and add the pink coloring until you get a smooth mix.
03 - Make 3-inch heart shapes from your pastry. Cut a smaller heart inside each one, keeping about 1/3 inch border.
04 - Add your cream cheese mix and put strawberry pieces in the middle section.
05 - Paint edges with beaten egg mixture, add some sugar crystals. Pop in oven for 14-15 minutes till they're nice and brown.
06 - Let them cool on a wire rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar right before you eat them.
