Warm up oven to 350°F and put paper liners in your muffin pan.

Mix the flour with baking powder and salt in a bowl.

Beat the butter with sugar until fluffy, then add the eggs and vanilla.

Pour in dry mix and liquids bit by bit, switching between milk and coffee.

Put batter in the liners about 2/3 full and cook for 18-20 minutes.

Let cupcakes cool then brush them with the coffee mix.

Whip up the mascarpone topping and swirl it onto each cupcake.

Sprinkle some cocoa on top and add any extras you want.
