Apple Fritters Baked (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - 1 cup powdered sugar.
02 - 1/2 cup whole milk.
03 - 2-3 tbsp milk.
04 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
05 - 2 cups all-purpose flour.
06 - 2 tbsp brown sugar.
07 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed and still cold.
08 - 1 tsp vanilla extract.
09 - 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped up.
10 - 1/2 tsp salt.
11 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
12 - 1 tbsp baking powder.
13 - 2 large eggs.
14 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon.
15 - 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg.

# Steps To Make It:

01 - Let the fritters chill about 10 minutes, then slather on the glaze.
02 - In a small bowl, stir together everything for the glaze until it’s nice and silky.
03 - Pop ‘em in the oven for about 15 to 18 minutes. Look for a pretty golden color.
04 - Scoop out about 1/4 cup of the mixture for each fritter and place them on the baking pan.
05 - Gently mix in the diced apples and brown sugar at the end.
06 - In another bowl, beat together the milk, eggs, and vanilla. Pour that into your dry stuff.
07 - Toss in the chunks of cold butter and cut it in until the dough gets crumbly.
08 - Start out by whisking together the flour, sugars, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
09 - Fire up your oven to 375 degrees F and lay some parchment paper on your baking sheet.

# Extra Notes:

01 - Granny Smiths or any tart apple work really well.
02 - Cool butter makes your baked goods nice and flaky.
03 - Stick 'em in an airtight box for two days if you need.
04 - Freeze the unfrosted ones for later, no problem.
