Heat your oven to 350F. Give your 9x13-inch baking dish a light coating of non-stick spray.

Mix the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and both vanilla and almond extracts, then beat well.

Mix salt into flour, then gently fold this into your wet mixture until just combined.

Put 3 cups of your batter into the dish. Spoon cherry filling on top. Add leftover batter in small blobs across the filling.

Pop in the oven for 35-40 minutes until it's golden brown and passes the toothpick test. Let it cool all the way down.

Stir icing sugar with extracts and milk until smooth. Pour over the bars once they're totally cool.
