Peppermint Cocoa (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - Chocolate sauce for topping (optional).
02 - Optional: Extra crushed candy cane for flair.
03 - Optional: Mini marshmallows for fun.
04 - Optional: A dollop of whipped cream.
05 - A tiny bit of kosher sea salt.
06 - Half a teaspoon of peppermint flavoring.
07 - Three tablespoons crushed candy canes.
08 - Two ounces peppermint bark, chopped up.
09 - Two-thirds cup of hot cocoa mix.
10 - One cup half and half.
11 - Four cups whole milk.

# Steps To Make It:

01 - Top your drinks with whatever garnishes you like.
02 - Grab some mugs and fill them up with the hot chocolate.
03 - Once done, take the pan off the stove.
04 - Let everything barely bubble for a good ten minutes.
05 - Whisk now and then while you heat it, but don’t let it boil.
06 - Mix together the milk, half and half, cocoa, peppermint bark, crushed candy canes, peppermint extract, and some salt.
07 - Place a saucepan on the stove and get it warmed up on medium.

# Extra Notes:

01 - Plain cocoa mix works, just toss in a splash of vanilla if you want.
02 - This is tastiest when you drink it fresh and piping hot.
03 - Sweetness is easy to tweak — more or less candy as you like.
04 - You'll end up with about 5 cups in total.
