Cheesy Mochi Treat (Printable Version)

# What You’ll Need:

01 - 100g (0.8 cups) sweet rice flour.
02 - 30g (0.25 cups) cornstarch powder.
03 - 15g (1 tbsp) granulated sugar.
04 - 160g (⅔ cups) fresh milk.
05 - 10g (0.7 tbsp) softened butter.
06 - 100g (⅖ cups) softened cream cheese.
07 - 15g (1 tbsp) white sugar.
08 - 100g (⅓ cups) sweet strawberry preserve.
09 - 180g (¾ cups) heavy cream for whipping.
10 - Crushed Oreo cookies as garnish.

# Steps To Make It:

01 - Beat together cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. Fold in heavy cream and strawberry preserve. Put mixture in piping bag and create 50g balls then place in freezer.
02 - Combine sweet rice flour, cornstarch, sugar, and milk in a bowl. Pass through strainer then cook covered in steamer until done.
03 - Mix butter into hot mixture and work with hands until stretchy and smooth. Pull and fold many times.
04 - Cut dough into 40g pieces. Coat lightly with sweet rice flour.
05 - Flatten each dough ball, place frozen filling inside, then wrap and seal edges. Cut away extra dough and roll in flour.
06 - Add crushed Oreo bits on top.

# Extra Notes:

01 - Your filling needs to be completely frozen before you use it.
02 - Always run the dough through a strainer for best results.
03 - Use plenty of rice flour when handling to stop stickiness.
